Break Charity Ambassadors
News Thursday, 30 September 2010
'BREAK CHARITY AMBASSADORS'
Earlier today J Road had a meeting with representatives from the Norfolk based charity Break and are proud to announce that they have become ambassadors for the charity.
Break has been supporting people with specialist care needs since 1968, offering supported holidays and short breaks for families and carers of people with disabilities, homes for looked after children, assessments for families in crisis, mentoring schemes for young people living in and leaving care and so much more besides.
"It is an amazing charity and they do amazing work to help so many people who really need it" said Craig. "We will be raising money and awareness for the charity during our gigs, donating a £1 from each sale of our upcoming album, doing guest appearances at their events and loads more besides."
Thursday saw J Road take to the stage at the Faraday Club in Slough.
The band served up 3 courses of what is fast becoming their trade mark; up-to-date, hot off the press, mega hits with a dash of old favourites for good measure, and by the time the packed room of watches and dances had gorged themselves on covers by artists such as Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Kellie Picker, Keith Urban and The Dixie Chicks, to name but a few, they were truly satisfied, leaving just enough room for a Big & Rich dessert.
A great night was had by all, including the band and they have informed me that for all those who asked, the album will be available soon, and will have a couple of surprises on it, but I can't give too much away!

'DEBUT STUDIO ALBUM PLANNED'
J Road have made the first steps to planning their first album.
"It will be a covers album which should hopefully be a huge hit with the Linedancers and Country fans alike. We've put a lot of thought into the song choices, but we are keeping that a secret until the album is released", said Craig.
"Studio time has already been booked and we are just tying up a few loose ends before we get started. We are very excited about this and look forward to hearing the result", added John.

'FANTASTIC NEW SONGS'
Today I had the pleasure of being invited along to hear Jellico Road rehearse the latest additions to their repertoire.
They are adding some fantastic new songs to their sets, including Lady Antebellum's 'One Day You Will', Trisha Yearwood's 'They Call It Falling For A Reason', Luke Bryan's 'Rain Is A Good Thing', Reba McEntire's 'Pink Guitar' and the beautiful 'I Loved Her First' by Heartland.
The band informed me that there are to be 14 new songs added to the sets, "Some of the latest additions are brand new songs that are being danced to right now around the linedance clubs and some are old favourites that everybody still loves" said J Road's John Henry.
